Call to order
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm via Zoom.

In attendance: Chair, John LeGloahec, Supervisor Robin Kaye. Joseph Pruden did not attend.
Staff: Town Clerk - TC Hegeman.

Motion to Approve October 7, 2020 Minutes with Correction: by Consensus
The October 7 meeting minutes incorrectly referenced the Non-Citizen Voter Statue when they should have referred to the implementation of a Voter Registry.

Mr. LeGloahec discussed the charter amendments and detailed the proposed changes.

These include:
Increasing the Number of Board of Election Supervisors from 3 to 5
Registration of Voters
Voting by Mail Ballot
Early Voting Days in Town Elections
Same Day Voter Registration
Vote by Mail Ballot language which will allow Cheverly residents to vote by mail

There will be a Public Forum with a First Reader at the November Town Meeting for these amendments.

Mr. LeGloahec will provide a report to Mayor and Council at the Worksession tomorrow.

Ms. Kaye will provide a draft letter to send to other municipalities inquiring about the best way to establish and maintain a voter registry. She will share the letter with the other members before sending out.

Mr. Pruden (emailed) an update about ballot boxes. We have to contact the State Board of Elections if we would like to acquire a ballot box for use in Cheverly’s elections.

Ms. Kaye suggested the Safe Meet location in front of Town Hall as a possible location for the ballot box. There are cameras already installed at that location and could view all activity at the ballot box.

Next meeting is November 4 at 7:00 pm.

Meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm
