Meeting called to order at 5:35 pm Hybrid

In attendance: Chair, Robin Kaye, Supervisors, David Thorpe, Kelly Carnes, J. Pruden

Staff: Assistant to Town Administrator - Priscilla Matthews

Approval of amended minutes of March 3, 2022: C. Pruitt, seconded by K. Carnes. All in favor.

Report of BOE’s activities at recent administrative meeting:

D. Thorpe – Will demonstrate software to read barcode/QR codes and update Excel document  

K. Carnes- Has been working on approving Mail in Ballot requests that have been submitted

C. Pruitt – Spoke with another municipality regarding the ballots

R. Kaye – Received approval to hold voter registration drives on April 6, 2022, 4 pm-6 pm, April 9, 2022, 10am-12pm, April 23, 2022, 10 am-12 pm. Town clerk will be on hand on April 6 drive. April 6th will be manned by R. Kaye & K. Carnes; April 9th will be manned by K. Carnes & J. Pruden; April 23rd will be manned by C. Pruitt, D. Thorpe, and J. Pruden. Both Saturday drives will also have Spanish speaking volunteers.

J. Pruden – Spoke with someone at ES&S and they are willing to come to speak with BOE at one of the next administrative meetings. Any questions should be sent to J. Pruden by 3/22/22

K. Carnes, C. Pruitt and D. Thorpe were sworn in today.

So far 16 mail-in ballot requests have been received and approved. 

Action Items:

R. Kaye working on getting dedicated storage for mail in ballots received.

J. Pruden will work with CERT to get volunteers for election day.  

BOE will work on getting volunteers for election day after certification of candidates.

BOE reviewed candidate petitions received.

Joseph Dalaker and Jhonny A. Merino for Ward 4

Charly Garces for Ward 5

Motion to certify the candidates as read made by C. Pruitt. 2nd K. Carnes
