Call to order
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm via Zoom.
 
In attendance: Chair, John LeGloahec, Supervisors Robin Kaye and Joseph Pruden.
                         Staff: Town Administrator – Dylan O. Galloway and Town Clerk - TC Hegeman.
 
Mr. Galloway swore in Mr. LeGloahec, Ms. Kaye and Mr. Pruden as Election Supervisors.
 
Motion to Elect John LeGloahec to Continue in the position of Chair of the Board of Elections: Mr. Pruden, seconded by Ms. Kaye. Approved unanimously.
 
Ms. Kaye proposed a meeting between the Public Hearing and the next scheduled Town Meeting to discuss non-citizen voting and other issues.
 
Mr. LeGloahec discussed proposed Charter Amendments:
  1. Election Supervisors: raising the number from three to five with the possibility of going to seven.
  2. Early Voting: possibly voting on the Saturday before the election.
  3. Vote by Mail: allow voting by mail for the 2021 election because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Voting would return to our normal procedure after the pandemic
Mr. LeGloahec also discussed Same Day Voting and raising the number of Election Judges from six to twelve, which will not require a Charter Amendment.
 
The Supervisors agreed with increasing the number of supervisors to five.
 
Mr. Pruden suggests placing a ballot box at Town Hall for voting with surveillance of the box. 
 
Mr. Galloway explained the required steps necessary before a Charter Amendment becomes final.
 
Mr. LeGloahec and Mr. Galloway talked about the Community Forum and when it could be scheduled.
 
Next meeting on September 2, Community Forum on September 14, and another meeting on September 23 at 7:00 pm as well.
 
Motion to Adjourn: Joseph Pruden, seconded by Robin Kaye. Approved unanimously.
