Report of BOE’s activities at recent administrative meeting:

R. Kaye – Presented tentative plan of traffic flow layout for gym on election day. 3 easels will be used for signage displaying sample ballots, ward map & exists. No Covid protocol signage needed at this time. There will be three shifts of 4 volunteers each shift. Volunteers will assist with pens, lobby for traffic flow, outside and a floater. Reorganized storage in file cabinets. Working on getting a safe. Reviewed ballots at administrative meeting. Plexiglass shields have been located. See thru face masks will be ordered. No registrations at April 6 voter registration drive. Next drive will be April 9th.  Will have Covid tests available on day of election for testing judges. Could not get ballot box from the state due to the state making it unavailable. Voter registry data needs to be reviewed due to ward updates.

J. Pruden –  Would like to continue with having voters’ line up outside. Sensitive documents will be stored securely. Researched various avenues for a secure ballot box. The one company that was almost able to produce the ballot box would no longer be able to deliver by election day. Will continue to research where to get a box.

So far 16 mail-in ballot requests have been received and approved.

Action Items:

D. Thorpe will research safe dimensions and provide a recommendation for purchase. Will review voter registry for any updates.
