Cheverly Camera/Wheel Lock Rebate Program

 

 

 

 

 

The Town of Cheverly and the Cheverly Police Department are excited to introduce the Cheverly Camera/Wheel Lock Rebate Program. These programs encourage residents to collaborate with the Cheverly Police Department by installing security cameras to deter crime, aid law enforcement with investigations by providing camera footage, and discourage the theft of vehicle tires.

 

The programs offer up to a $50.00 rebate to Cheverly residents who provide receipts for a security camera and installation and/or a $30.00 rebate for purchasing a wheel lock kit. Receipts for purchases on or after October 1, 2023, will be eligible for reimbursement. The rebates cover exclusively the cost of the camera or wheel lock kit and any applicable taxes.

 

Only residents of the Town of Cheverly are eligible. The rebate is for one camera/wheel lock kit per household or business.

The Town of Cheverly, its agents, employees, and officials shall not be liable to me for any claims, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Cheverly Camera/Wheel Lock Rebate Program ("the Program") or my use of any camera/wheel lock kit for which I have received a rebate through the Program or for damage to or malfunction of such items.

 

I will indemnify and hold the Town of Cheverly, its agents, employees, and officials harmless from and against all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, loss, expense, actions, or causes of action that they or any of them may incur, including attorneys’ fees, in connection with or as a result of my participation in the Program or my installation or use of a camera/wheel lock kit for which I have received a rebate through the Program.

 

I waive, release, and discharge the Town of Cheverly, its agents, employees, and officials from all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, actions, or causes of action and all acts of negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the Town of Cheverly, and/or its servants, agents, or employees, arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Program.

 

The Town of Cheverly has offered no recommendations to me regarding which camera and/or wheel lock kit to purchase and has provided no warranties, guarantees, or representations regarding (1) the suitability or functionality of any such camera/wheel lock kit; (2) my safety or that of my family members, guests, or invitees, or of my property or that of my family members, guests, or invitees as a consequence of the installation or use of the camera/wheel lock kit for which I receive a rebate through the Program; or (3) the ability of such camera/wheel lock kit to detect or diminish crime on or of my property. The Town of Cheverly will not repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning cameras for which rebates have been provided.
