The Cheverly Police Department Needs Your Assistance

This morning, at approximately 12:51 AM, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3100 block of 63rd Place for a breaking and entering in progress.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim. who explained that she woke up to a hand on her thigh. Upon further investigation, the victim realized that the hand belonged to someone unfamiliar and immediately activated her cell phone’s flashlight. She observed a male lying on the floor, next to her bed, who immediately fled the residence.

The victim was able to provide officers with a detailed description.

Officers processed the scene for evidence and Prince George’s County Aviation Division assisted with a search for the suspect however, the suspect was not located.

We are asking for the assistance of anyone who may have video footage, in the area of the 3100 block of 63rd Place, to assist us with video, from the hours of 12:00 AM – 2:00 AM this morning.
