Last night, at approximately 10:15 pm, Cheverly Police Department (CPD) officers were dispatched to Landover Road, in the area of Cheverly Avenue, for a motor vehicle collision. Upon their arrival, officers were approached by witnesses who advised that two vehicles had been speeding on Landover Road when they struck one another, as well as two other vehicles. 
 
Officers were advised that the driver and passengers of one of the vehicles had fled the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was transported, by CPD officers, to Prince George’s County Hospital (PGH), due to minor injuries that were believed to have been sustained in the collision. While at the hospital officers learned that the driver was chasing suspects, the individuals that fled the scene, who had robbed him at gun point in the 3400 block of Dodge Park Road. 
 
While CPD officers were at PGH, Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) officers were dispatched to Hawthorne Street for a carjacking. Preliminary information suggests that the robbery suspects who were involved in the motor vehicle collision may have committed the carjacking on Hawthorne Street as a means of escaping the area. 
 
Prince Georges County Police Department is handling this investigation.
