1. Prospective planning board members

2. Meeting minutes
a. Approved August meeting minutes
 
3. Planning 101 Forum
  1. Joyce reached out to James Hunt (M-NCPPC Planning Division Chief, Development Review), and he’s happy to present.
  2. The purpose of the session is to help residents better understand the development process in the County (what to expect for sites like the hospital). Planning board will host, and Mayor/Council can attend.
  3. Joyce is going to follow-up with James to see if 10/15 will work.
4. Public Works Building
a. There is a meeting with Steve Brayman at 7:00 on Thursday 9/3 to coordinate.
 
5. Neighborhood Design Center
a. The Center will be presenting plans for the park adjacent to Spellman on 9/14.
 
6. Future coordination with Councilmember Ivey (potential topics)
  1. Hospital Redevelopment
  2. Local Transit Center Zoning (Tuxedo, World Recycling)
  3. Development along 202/Landover Road
  4. Developer coordination (e.g. RDA property, The Point)
  5. Transportation Master Plan (2-year process)
  6. Columbia Park Road Bridge Widening (broader circulation)
  7. Retail opportunities
7. Updates from the Mayor Riazi
a. There are proposed amendments, requested through MDE, to Arlington Crematorium plans (2313 51st Place)
 
8. Fred Price would like to invite representatives from Cedar Heights and Fairmont Heights to upcoming Planning Board meetings.
