  1. Administrative Items
    1. April 2022 Minutes Approved
    2. Joyce shared new member advertisement for Planning Board feedback.
    3. Action: Joyce to draft revised advertisement based on Planning Board feedback and share with Amy.
  2. Planning Board Initiatives
    1. Surplus/Public Property Considerations:
      1. Joyce shared potential template to populate with candidate sites for revitalization.
      2. Action: Joyce/Barbara to take first cut at populating template.
    2. Industrial Park Engagement
      1. Action: Joyce to draft letter for Town to distribute.
    3. Cheverly Brochure Annotated Outline
      1. It’s important to frame Cheverly in the context of the County’s Economic Development Platform, as well as advantages of proximity to destinations like FedEx Field.
      2. Discussed how Prince George’s County participates in ICSC every year to feature opportunity sites. Perhaps County’s Economic Development team can share language/stats/material with Town for framing of brochure.
      3. There’s also an opportunity to check in with developers like Urban Atlantic to see what/how they are promoting Hospital Hill.
      4. Action: Joyce to touch base with Angie Rodgers office.  
  3. Other Updates
    1. County Executive/Progressive Cheverly Forum Takeaways
      1. The County Executive focused on crime. Also discussed public/private partnership program for schools and affordable housing goals.
    2. Master Plan of Transportation Input
      1. Joyce/Margaret met with MPOT planning team to discuss priorities like making Columbia Park Bridge safer for pedestrians and cyclists, potential trail connections to the East Coast Greenway, and the removal of the paper road by Amazon because it overlaps with environmental resource.
      2. Action: Joyce to submit trail recommendations to MPOT planning team.
    3. Hospital Hill Redevelopment Engagement
      1. Anticipate something more formal on this topic in the weeks to come.  
    4. 1201 Claybrick Road NEPA Process
      1. Mr. Galloway scheduled a meeting with MDE to coordinate the following planning themes on May 16. Joyce plans on participating.
        • Project Background (options considered, short term/long term program of site, level of NEPA documentation, etc.)
        • Anticipated Stakeholder Engagement Process  
        • Environmental Justice Analysis/Outreach 
        • Air Quality Analysis 
        • Level Transportation Analysis
        • Mitigation (site program/design innovation, investing in the community, etc.)
    5. WMATA 10-Year Strategic Plan for Joint Development Engagement
      1. Action: Joyce will follow-up with her contact at WMATA about attending a Planning Board Meeting.
