December 2021 meeting minutes reviewed and approved.

 

Cheverly Marketing Brochure: 

~ Opportunity to share the priorities identified in the Sector Plan and Strategic Plan (underway).

~ Joyce reached out to Mr. Galloway about support for this effort.

 

~ Work needed to have more diverse participation in process.

~ Council woman Amy Fry to check w/ Mayor Kayce Munyeneh on use of Cable TV channel to attract resident participation. 

 

~ Joyce received development application notification for Addison Row. She reached out to Mr. Andrew Bishop, M-NCPPC’s development review specialist, to obtain site plan for review. The response letter from Mr. Bishop contained milestone date information and did not contain the site plan.

~ Joyce will share the letter received from Mr. Bishop with Council woman Amy.

~ Amy will check with Mayor Munyeneh to see if contact has been made with the developer.

 

~  Joyce will reach out to RDA to obtain information on best practices, context sensitive for neighborhood streets. Also ask RDA for next steps in the community process. We understand that we need to respond soon with regards to comments or changes. Planning Board will continue to share community reinforcing principals identified in the Sector Plan.

~ Joyce will also check in with RDA on the status of the Point of Cheverly. Council woman Amy Fry will check in with Mayor Munyeneh as well.

 

~ Joyce will follow up on EA process at Claybrick Road project and the temporary traffic light at Claybrick RD and Sheriff Road.

~ Opportunity to look at other uses for land/area at Claybrick RD. Looking for a better sustainable, green infrastructure etc. model use for area. Solar zone for example.

 

~ Advancing Trail Connections – No update Margaret will follow up with Mayor Munyeneh.

~ Countywide Map Amendment – Will follow up with Mr. Chad Williams on the memo we sent on the CMA and copy Mr. Sam Smith regarding our changes/recommendations.

~ Sustainable Communities Designation Application – Joyce reached to Mr. Galloway and was told that the Town is receiving support to complete the application. Planning Board will help as needed.

~ Council woman Amy Fry will get clarification on the DHCD program/grant and get back to Joyce as well.
