  • Review and Approve November 2021 Minutes
    • Approved
  • Cheverly Strategic Plan Participation
    • Meeting December 8, 2021
    • Joyce will attend December 16th meeting
    • Follow up: Planning Board Members will complete survey to provide feedback
  • Planning Board Goals for 2022
    • Review status of recommendations in Cheverly Sector Plan to determine implementation priorities
    • Assess Planning Board goals related to the following:
      • Bike Connections
      • CMA Process (zoning recommendations)
      • Funding opportunities
      • Hospital Hill
      • Information sharing (Town and M-NCPPC)
  • Sustainable Communities Application
    • Joyce brought up the need to coordinate with Mr. Galloway and DHCD prior to application to assess time commitment
    • Follow up: Reach out to DHCD
  • Ongoing Project Updates
    • Advancing Trail Connections
      • Vice Mayor Fry reached out to Bladensburg to coordinate
      • Future expansion was discussed at Town work session
    • 1201 Claybrick Road
      • This seems to be in a holding pattern
    • Hospital Hill
      • Developers were asked to reach out to the Town as part of the solicitation process. There should be an update from the Town or RDA soon
  • Other
    • Planning Board to review transportation masterplan for Town
    • Marian indicated that there is need for Planning Board participation on the Active Transportation Advisory Group (i.e. trails)
    • The Town should plan on coordinating with Bladensburg to discuss issues related to Hospital Hill to ensure stakeholder priorities are consistent with the development
    • Fred suggested that we begin outreach to individuals that are running for local office and share a brochure that highlights what Cheverly’s goals over the next 5 years. Planning Board to assess budget for developing a brochure
