Town Services Update

The Department of Public Works appreciates your patience while we continue snow operations. In the attempt to provide service to all residents, the following modified collection schedule has been planned for the remainder of the week:

 

We are attempting to complete East Side curbside trash and backdoor trash on today, Thursday, January 6.  Backdoor Trash Pickup will be attempted if a path is cleared of snow and ice.

 

Trash schedule for Friday, January 7 West Side (weather pending)

 

Please note that all yard waste, bulk trash, appliances, backdoor trash, leaf collection, and Christmas Tree pickup has been postponed this week. Weather permitting, normal operations will continue next week.

 

 

If you have down street trees or down street tree limbs, please call the Town of Cheverly Public Works Department at 301-773-2666. The Cheverly Public Works crews and the Town Arborist are making lists of these trees and tree limbs to begin removal as soon as possible. There may be delays in responding due to the weather; however, we are working diligently to assist you.

 

Please note that the Town of Cheverly cannot pick up down trees or limbs from private property. If you have down branches from private trees or limbs, you must cut them into 4-foot sections and they must be less than 4 inches in diameter for yard waste pick up.
