Severe Weather Alert 9/22/23 for Cheverly and Surrounding Area

The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert for Prince George’s County and the surrounding region from today, September 22, until 10 p.m. tomorrow, September 23. High winds between 50 – 60 MPH and 2- 4 inches of rain are expected for our area.

We encourage residents to be cautious if traveling during the storm and keep in mind the following reminders to help keep you and your family safe: 
Storms with high winds could result in fallen trees and loss of power. Prepare by securing loose items in your yard, charging devices, and ensuring flashlights have fresh batteries. Find more advice at pepco.com/StormPrep.
