PUBLIC SAFETY WEEKLY UPDATE

November 9, 2023

Dear Residents,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to update you on some recent developments in our community, as well as share some important information regarding our commitment to public safety.

Firstly, I would like to reiterate our dedication to keeping you informed. We will continue to issue news and announcements that pertain to the happenings in our town. The news and announcements during weeks with Town Sessions or Work Sessions will be introduced on that day. The hope is to also serve as a gentle reminder to attend these meetings virtually or in person. Many of the questions raised at the recent public safety forum have often been answered during our meetings or through our newsletters. We encourage your active participation in these sessions to stay informed about matters that concern you.

In more uplifting news, I am proud to report that over the past 9 days, our community has experienced no felonious assaults, crimes that impact the quality of life, or violent crimes. This is significant compared to the rest of the county and serves as a continued reassurance that we live in a safe and secure community.

Regarding a recent incident on Halloween day, there was a report of a young lady being hit by a car. However, upon investigation, it was determined that the pedestrian was at fault. I'm pleased to inform you that the driver involved stayed on the scene, and there was no injury to the reported victim.

Your feedback is invaluable to us. Please let us know if these reports are useful to you, and if there's any additional information you're seeking. Our intention is to keep our communications brief and informative, but we want to ensure we address your needs and concerns.

Thank you for being a part of our community, and we wish you a fantastic week ahead. If you have any questions or suggestions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Kayce Munyeneh
Mayor
