Prologis Construction Work

61st / 62nd Avenue Construction Work
- Work will begin to reconstruct the intersections of 61st / 62nd Ave and Reed St on May 9th•
- Work will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete. Schedule is subject to change if there is bad weather.
- During construction, the work area at the end of 61st / 62nd Ave will be protected by temporary barrels. The intersections will be closed and there will be no thru-traffic allowed.
- The contractor will alert the local fire department of the work being done since the ends of 61st / 62nd Ave will be closed.
Speed Hump Construction
- Three speed humps will be installed: two on State St and one on 64th Ave.
- This work is anticipated to begin during the 1st week of June, weather permitting.
- They WON'T be worked on simultaneously. Residents won't get stuck in the neighborhood.
- Flag person(s) will be stationed to route traffic during construction.
- Electronic message boards will be stationed on Columbia Park Rd and 64th Ave to alert commuters who would otherwise come up 64th Ave.
- Speed humps need 72 hours for the finish to cure, per warranty. The curing is done after the work of building the humps themselves.
- Speed humps will be protected by temporary barrels while they are curing, and the road will be closed for 72 hours.
- After the first has cured, the second will follow, then the third, with traffic routed a different way each time.
- Suggested detour streets that will allow access in/out of the neighborhood are shown on the reverse side.
- School bus stops will continue to be located on State Street at the 61st / 62nd Ave intersections. Residents will be notified if changes are made.
