Bulk / Special Trash

Overview

All Bulk/Special Trash items (no more than 3) need to be placed at the curb by 7 am on your scheduled collection day, or you can put them out after 7 pm the night before. Public Works does not do a specific route, so they will not be picking up your trash at a specific time each day. We are no longer doing late bulk trash pickup, so if you miss it, you miss it. You will have to wait until the next scheduled pick-up for your location. All loose materials must be in containers and cannot exceed 50 pounds. Up to three items are accepted.

Safe Disposal of Sharp Items

Any items that could be a hazard to the crew member collecting them (like broken glass) needs to be wrapped in paper or an impervious disposable container and labeled with the hazard prior to placing inside the cart. Sharps, needles, syringes must be capped, and the syringe placed inside a rigid plastic container (such as laundry detergent bottle or coffee can). Replace the cap on the bottle, tape it closed and write on it Sharps, and place it inside your green refuse cart.
