William Eley, Jr. Building

As part of the continuing preliminary plan design for the William Eley, Jr. Building, the proposed new headquarters for the Department of Public Works, KCI Engineering will be conducting a geotechnical study of the current public works yard. KCI Engineering is a member of the Keller Construction Management team developing the preliminary plan. Keller Construction Management is the Town’s Design Build partner for this project.

This geotechnical study includes drilling holes to take soil samples in locations depicted in the diagram below. The boreholes are infilled and made safe after the samples are extracted.  This work is planned to start on or about Wednesday, March 2, 2022, and may take up to 10 days to complete as this work is weather dependent. The drilling work is anticipated to start after 8:30 am each day.  The drilling is anticipated to generate some noise that will be like the drilling conducted for the underground storage tank removal study. This work is NOT anticipated to interfere with any field or track use.
