In anticipation of upcoming storms expected to impact Prince George’s County, the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) will activate its Sandbag Distribution Program to help residents prepare and protect their properties.

Sandbag Distribution:

Sandbags will be available Thursday, August 8th through Saturday, August 10th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at select locations. Residents are allowed up to 10 sandbags per household. Proof of Prince George’s County residency is required.

DPW&T has established three locations where residents can collect free sandbags:

• North County: Ammendale Facility; 1190 Montgomery Road, Beltsville, MD 20705
• Central County: D’Arcy Road Maintenance Facility; 8401 D’Arcy Road, Forestville, MD 20747
• South County: Brandywine Facility; 12911 Cherry Tree Crossing Road, Brandywine, MD 20613
