Winter Weather Update & Town of Cheverly Operations Plan for Tuesday, January 7, 2025
The Town of Cheverly is closely monitoring the ongoing winter storm and has implemented the following operations plan to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
Weather Conditions:
Snowfall Totals: The initial round of snow is wrapping up with 4-6 inches of accumulation. A second, lighter round of snow is expected, with an additional 1-2 inches likely before tapering off around 1-2 AM.
Winter Storm Warning: Remains in effect until 1 AM.
Freezing Conditions: Residents should anticipate refreezing on roadways and sidewalks throughout the week.
Public Transportation:
The County Bus will operate on a Saturday schedule.
District and Circuit Courts:
All courts are closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Town Operations:
1. Administrative Offices:
All Town administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Administrative Staff will be working remotely and available to assist residents during regular business hours.
2. Public Works:
Public Works staff will remain onsite to manage snow mitigation efforts.
Trash Collection:
Townwide trash collection will occur on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
For the safety of employees, residents are asked to place trash bins at the curb by their assigned pickup times.
