Snow Emergency Parking Advance Notice to All Residents
Effective 11:59 PM, Friday, January 23, 2026
Vehicles parked in violation of Snow Emergency restrictions may be ticketed and/or towed at the vehicle owner’s expense to ensure public safety and allow snowplows and emergency vehicles to operate effectively.
Residents are advised to plan ahead and relocate vehicles before the effective time. For updates and additional information, please monitor official Town communications
The Town is preemptively declaring a Snow Emergency in anticipation of a major winter storm and the potential for prolonged icy conditions.
Pursuant to Sec. 27-10 – Closing Streets During Emergencies and Snow Parking Restrictions, the Mayor and Town Council, or their duly authorized representative, are authorized to modify parking and traffic regulations during emergency conditions temporarily.
Snow Emergency Declaration
For this event, the Town is superseding the standard one-inch snowfall trigger and declaring a Snow Emergency in advance to allow for safe and effective snow removal operations.
Once in effect:
• Snow Emergency parking restrictions will begin at 11:59 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026.
• Restrictions will remain in effect until streets are fully plowed and safe for normal parking.
Parking Requirements During the Snow Emergency
All residents must comply with the following parking restrictions by 11:59 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026:
During a Snow Emergency, no person shall cause or allow any vehicle to be parked:
On the cul-de-sac portion of any street
On any courts
On the odd-numbered side of:
59th Avenue
The 3200 block of Tremont Avenue
Inwood Street between Cheverly Avenue and Belleview Avenue
On the even-numbered side of all other streets
On any street except at the curb, as permitted by this section
