Town of Cheverly

 

Authorizing the Execution of Documents

For the Purpose of Purchasing

5701 Landover Road, Cheverly, Maryland

 

        WHEREAS, the Town of Cheverly is seeking the purchase of property referred to as 5701 Landover Road; and

        

        WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council have negotiated a purchase price with the owners; and

 

        WHEREAS, the Town of Cheverly will benefit from this purchase by protecting local waterways and maintaining the green space at the location; and

 

        WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council must authorize the Town Administrator to execute settlement documents and complete the transfer of ownership at the agreed upon price;

 

        NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, this 12th day of April, 2012, by the Mayor and Town Council that the Town Administrator be authorized to carry-out the tasks necessary to purchase the property on behalf of the Town of Cheverly.
