RESOLUTION R-7-07
Town of Cheverly
Supporting the
Anacostia River Trail Study
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Cheverly, joined by members of the Cheverly Planning Board and other committed Cheverly residents, participated in a meeting on August 13, 2007 related to the Anacostia River Trail system; and
WHEREAS, the Town is deeply appreciative of Delegate Jolene Ivey who planned and organized this meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council support the continued efforts by State, County and Maryland National Capital Park and Planning staff members to provide proposals for consideration that will ultimately provide trails throughout the region, connecting the Town of Cheverly to a wide network of regional trails; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council support the continued efforts by State, County and Maryland National Capital Park and Planning staff members to provide proposals for consideration that will provide trails throughout the region.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, this 13th day of September, 2007, by the Mayor and Town Council that the Town of Cheverly supports the Anacostia River Trail Study and looks forward to reviewing the results.
