Update on WSSC Performing Sewer Mainline and Lateral Work on Kilmer Street and Belleview Avenue

pw
WSSC has commenced sewer mainline and lateral work in the 6000 Block of Kilmer Street, and on the 3100 and 3200 Blocks of Belleview Avenue. WSSC is currently performing pipe bursting and relining pipes to rehabilitate their systems. WSSC has informed the Town that they have passed out door hangers to all residents in the area. WSSC’s contractor will use traffic control when necessary. Currently, this work is requiring the WSSC contractor to close one lane on Cheverly Avenue. WSSC has informed the Town that their contractor will be done working in Cheverly Avenue this week. This project may cause traffic delays, so please plan accordingly.

The Town has coordinated with WSSC and is expecting WSSC to repave the 6000 Block of Kilmer Street and an adjoining section of Belleview Avenue when this work is done. We thank WSSC for coordinating with the Town on this repaving operation. The Town also wants to thank the residents for their patience while Kilmer Street has been milled but not paved. This project is expected to be completed by mid-September 2022, weather permitting.

The contractor for this work is Anchor Construction Corporation.
