Temporarily Closed - Playgrounds, Courts, and Fields

To support public health and safety, the Town of Cheverly
has temporarily closed access to Town playgrounds, courts and fields. Currently, parks and trails remain open for users who practice social distancing (maintaining a distance of six (6) feet)
The disease, COVID-19, has been declared a Global Pandemic
Both the State of Maryland and Prince George’s County are operating under a State of Emergency
The Novel Coronavirus is spread between people in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet), through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people
who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
The virus can spread through contact with contaminated surfaces,
as the virus can remain active on surfaces for hours and even days (depending upon environmental conditions).
