Don’t Forget! Pepco Vegetation Management Public Hearing—Bring Your Questions!

Pepco will present and be available for questions this Thursday (September 12) at our televised Town Council Meeting. If you can’t join us tomorrow, you will have one final opportunity at the Mayor and Council Worksession (September 26).

As we have been announcing, the Town has requested three opportunities for the community to speak with Pepco regarding their public and private property tree trimming and removal under their vegetation management plan. A Pepco representative joined the first of the three opportunities by connecting with our September Green Infrastructure meeting (September 9) via conference call.

Council to Vote on Administrative Regulation Regarding the Display of Flags.

Council will vote on this regulation this Thursday, September 12. This vote follows extensive discussion and public review. The regulation outlines both how the U.S. flag should be displayed, and affords a structured opportunity for Mayor and Council to display other flags and banners. “Other flags and banners may only be displayed upon the issuance of a federal or state proclamation or resolution or a proclamation by the Mayor and Council. All flags and banners  will  be  displayed  with authorization  by  the  Town  Administrator  as  prescribed  by  the  applicable  proclamation or resolution.”

And More… Proclamations, Administrator Report, and Odor and Development Updates.

Join us in celebrating our Wolverines “10 and Under” Baseball Team and to congratulate Seton High School on their 60th anniversary! As to our Administrator’s report, we continue to work to offer a fuller report on matters before the Town so that our community can have greater insight into the day-to-day operations and the Town’s progress and challenges with the many issues facing our community. We would love to see you Thursday!
