**TONIGHT** Special Meeting on the Redevelopment of Hospital Hill - Zoom Update Information

Before this evening's Special Meeting, please make sure to update your version of Zoom, as some new capabilities are only available to participants running the latest client version. You can locate your download via this link: zoom.us/download. The latest release, Version 5.5.4 (13130.0228), was March 1. This update should only take a couple of minutes. This update will support live captioning and your ability to see when more than one speaker is spotlighted within a webinar for an enhanced view.
 
 
There is a Cheverly-specific Special Meeting on the Redevelopment of Hospital Hill.  
Virtual via Zoom, Thursday, March 4, at 6:30 PM.
 
With the new UM Capital Region Medical Center in Largo's spring opening, our neighboring Prince George's Hospital will be empty very soon, and the site will be ripe for residential and commercial development. The Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County (RDA) and County Council Member Ivey presented some initial development concepts in a February public update. On March 4, at 6:30 PM, the RDA will join us for a Cheverly-specific presentation and engagement opportunity.
 
Hospital Hill is of extraordinary prominence in our community. Every aspect of this redevelopment will directly affect our Town and community. It is essential that Cheverly be a full partner in guiding the residential and commercial development of this site.
 
At the March 4 Town Special Meeting, we will:
 
Briefly reference relevant key features of the Greater Cheverly Sector Process and Plan;
Quickly move to the RDA presentation of  the “Town Center” and “Village” initial concepts first introduced in their February community update; Invite and engage community review of RDA initial concepts with a focus on identifying community needs and likes, critical areas of community concern, and invite suggestions; Establish next steps to include focus meetings with Wards One and Two, our next community-wide meeting, and specific issue responses.
 
You do not have to wait until March 4 to participate! Your questions and suggestions are welcome in advance. Please email TownClerk@Cheverly-md.gov with the subject line, “Cheverly HH Development” by 5:00 PM Monday, March 1, 2021.
