This morning, at approximately 6:00 AM, officers were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery at the 7-11, located at 6001 Arbor St. Upon arrival, officers were advised that an unknown suspect entered the establishment and walked behind the counter. The suspect then began removing Newport cigarettes from the display rack and placing them into his pockets. When two employees approached the suspect, and attempted to stop him, a physical confrontation ensued and the suspect stabbed one of the employees with an unknown object.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’11, 180lbs, believed to be in his 30’s, wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, a green facemask, and a black polo shirt, which was used to cover his face. The black polo shirt was recovered a short distance from the 7-Eleven. The victim was transported to Prince George’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is believed that an unknown make and model vehicle was parked, waiting, on the on ramp to 50 Westbound, located next to the 7-Eleven, which the suspect used to leave the area.
