Food Drive Tomorrow

The Cheverly United Methodist Church Food Pantry is hosting a Food Drive tomorrow (Saturday, March 21) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of CUMC at 2801 Cheverly Ave.
Thank you to the many neighbors who donated food this week. Tomorrow's drive will be geared toward helping community members and Prince George's Community College students.
Cheverly CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) will collect non-perishable foods. We will have a walk-up table and a drive-through line. If you are driving, please place the food in your car’s trunk, and CERT members will receive your generous donation.
Please continue to use social distancing: We would like everyone to continue keeping six feet of space from one another to the greatest extent possible.

Cheverly CERT
The Mission of Cheverly CERT is to provide critical support to the Town of Cheverly and assistance to residents during an emergency. To accomplish this mission, Cheverly CERT has three areas of focus:
1. Providing our members with on-going training in disaster response, emergency preparedness, leadership, and organizational skills.
2. Educating residents in Cheverly emergency preparedness.
3. Supporting the Cheverly Police Department and related emergency services in the event of a disaster.
