The Cheverly Police Department remains committed to the health and safety of families in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Across the country, communities have begun to experience an uptick in domestic violence, which includes disputes between roommates, family members, and intimate partners. Cheverly Police continue to respond to domestic violence calls for service to support victims/survivors and remove violent perpetrators when appropriate. We are here for you. If you or someone you know is experiencing a domestic violence emergency, do not hesitate to call 911.

Anyone, of any age, can call the Hotline at any time. The Hotline receives calls about a variety of concerns including depression, sadness, loneliness, thoughts of suicide, separation or divorce, abuse, relationship problems, conflicts with friends or family members, financial, legal, or employment problems, gay and lesbian issues, and grief and bereavement. Hotline services are also available in over 150 languages and all lines are TTY compatible.

Provides 24/7 care to those in domestic violence crisis situations, including referrals for shelter, mental health services, referrals for legal interventions such as protective orders, and advice about how to maintain safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 to offer lifesaving tools and immediate support to empower victims and survivors to find safety and live free of abuse. They also provide support to friends and family members who are concerned about a loved one. The website includes a Chat feature if calling the hotline is not possible.
