The Cheverly Police Department Needs Your Assistance

To assist in the investigation of the influx of theft from autos and auto tamperings in the town, the following video was provided to the department. In the video you can see a group of suspects prowling through the neighborhood, actively checking door handles, in hopes of finding an unsecured vehicle.

We are requesting the community’s assistance. Individuals who may have external video security systems, that are willing to share their footage, are asked to submit their footage to the department’s Criminal Investigative Division to assist in the continuing efforts to combat auto tamperings and theft from autos. Particularly, we are looking for footage from 11/17/2019, from the hours of 12:30 AM to 230 AM. Areas of interest are: Crest Ave, Greenleaf Rd, Tremont Ave, the 5900 Blk of Forest Rd., and the 5600 Blk of Hawthorne St.
