Nomination Deadline Approaching: Celebrate a Hometown Hero!
Submit your forms by December 14, 2025, to have banners displayed in January 2026.
Forms submitted after December 14th will not be displayed until July 2026.
The Hometown Heroes program honors Cheverly residents who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Residents can nominate family members, and submissions are reviewed by the Hometown Heroes Committee before final approval by the Town Council. A $250 fee applies for each banner. Banners, 30 by 82 inches and made of durable vinyl, include the hero’s image, name, and branch seal, and are displayed around Legion Park and along Cheverly Avenue for one year.
