WSSC Emergency Work – 2300 Block of Cheverly Avenue
WSSC officials notified the Town at approximately 7:00 PM tonight, February 18, 2025, that their contractor working in the 2300 block of Cheverly Avenue encountered issues earlier this evening. To complete the job, WSSC needs to temporarily shut down water for approximately seven (7) households in the 2400 and 2600 blocks of Cheverly Avenue. WSSC Emergency Crews are currently onsite.
Town officials have requested that WSSC knock on the doors of affected households to provide residents with as much notice as possible. WSSC reports that the shutdown and job completion will take approximately one (1) hour.
The temporary water shut-off is expected to begin tonight between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM, and water service should be restored before 11:00 PM.
