Winter Weather Advisory - Mixed Precipitation

Effective: 9:00 PM Tonight until 10:00 AM Thursday

What to Expect:
This evening, a light mix of freezing rain and sleet will transition to a steady freezing rain tonight. Temperatures will warm on Thursday morning, and precipitation will transition to rain. Icing is expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations between two-tenths and three-tenths of an inch.  Hazardous conditions may impact the Thursday morning commute.

Impacts:

Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Power outages and tree damage could occur due to the ice. 

Town Operations:

• A Public Works crew will be activated tonight to commence ice and snow operations.

• Cheverly Police will remain operational 24/7 throughout the storm.
