Due to inclement weather on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the Department of Public Works will postpone backdoor trash pickups for the East and West sides of the Town to the next regular trash day. These pickups will occur on Thursday, January 9, 2025, or Friday, January 10, 2025. Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on prevailing weather conditions.

The Department will make every effort to complete all backdoor recycling pickups on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. However, given the potential for ice and other weather-related hazards, we will reassess conditions on Wednesday morning and provide an update if necessary.

If possible, we encourage households with backdoor trash service to ask a neighbor or friend to place their trash and recycling at the curb. This will reduce the need for Town employees to navigate snow or ice-covered private properties.

Townwide regular trash pickup is still scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, 2025, and recycling is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2025. These schedules remain weather permitting. We request that residents assist Town employees by placing your toters and bins in a visible location at the curb.
