Town Clerk & Administrative Staff
The Town Clerk supervises the maintenance of permanent records of the town; validates official documents; assists the Administrator and Treasurer in preparation of the Annual Budget and preparation for annual audit; maintains inventory records; prepares and oversees town payroll; maintains personnel records and benefit packages; files required payroll tax reports; creates personal property tax invoices; receives monies due town; issues residential business licenses; and town building permits; etc.
The Clerk is the Chief Election Clerk and serves as liaison to the Cheverly Board of Election Supervisors, Ethics Commission; works with the Building Usage Committee to oversee Community Center meeting room scheduling.
The Administrative Offices: Town Administrator, Town Clerk, and Town Treasurer.
Answer questions about town government, meetings, agendas, departments, services, resolve complaints and problems, etc.

No. The town does not rent out any of its facilities.

Prince George's County requires that all dogs/cats/ferrets over the age of four months be licensed. A license must be obtained 30 days after residency is established. The Division Of Vital Records, under the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, provides people with certified copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates. In addition, the Division provides information on procedures for registering an adoption, legitimation, or an adjudication of paternity, or for creating a birth certificate for a person born in Maryland for whom no birth certificate ever existed.
