  • Community Market Grant – Insurance Premium
The Town will consider approving a grant for the Community Market for the purpose of covering their annual insurance policy. The Community Market is independent of the town and uses Town Property for the Market.  The town has provided a grant for this purpose since the inception of the Market.

  • Discussion of Park Use – Administrative Processes
This will be regarding the administrative processes regarding the utilization of parks by renters.  This will be a brief discussion to understand how staff is addressing these issues.

  • Discussion of Belleview Traffic Flow – 3400 Block
There are many issues regarding the traffic flow in the 3400 block of Belleview Ave.  Councilmember Riazi will lead a discussion outlining possible solutions to the traffic issues.

  • Discussion of Potential Environmental Grant
The Green Infrastructure Committee has indentified a grant opportunity that might allow the Town to acquire funds to implement storm water improvements in the Boyd Park area.  The Council will discuss the alternative and determine whether it is interested in pursuing.  Additional steps will be required to ensure buy in from neighboring residents.

  • Discussion of Wal*Mart Expansion for Groceries
As discussed in previous Newsletters (and upcoming Newsletters) the Walmart is applying for a special exception from the county to expand the current Walmart in Capital Plaza to include groceries.  The council has previously decided not to support this effort but instead to work with neighboring communities to identify other opportunities.  This discussion will focus on whether to continue that direction.

  • Whiteboarding:
The council will do a little brainstorming regarding what are the next priorities to be addressed.
