Do we see Spring? Let us not hope everything blooms early as sometimes we will receive one of those
terrible winds that freeze and kills all the petals. It is time to contact the town and arrange for that “black gold” (mulch) they will deliver for a fee, it is so good for your garden.
The next meeting will have a wonderful speaker that will help you lay out your gardens or repair your gardens and is very much environment concerned. This meeting is on March 21st at 7:00PM on the 4th floor at the Cheverly United Methodist Church. You need not be afraid to attend thinking that we are Master Gardeners…we are learning just like most and appreciate what we can pick from other brains.
Hope most of you were at the Rain Barrel Workshop on the 2nd. Have you paid your $15.00 dues yet? That is what pays for the Garden Club Sale and if you are a member or a resident or just “are” save space for the local plants that do well in Cheverly from our gardens. That sale will be in May. Turn on the Cheverly TV cable station as I have been known to make mistakes with dates. We ALWAYS meet on the 3rd MONDAY and are an informal group that needs help with keeping up our work in Cheverly.
