Friends of Lower Beaverdam is excited about having won this year’s Mayor’s Award on Cheverly Day. What an honor! There are so many dedicated volunteers to thank – which we will be doing soon at an upcoming event.
Meanwhile, our last-Saturday-of- the-month invasive-plant removal sessions on hiatus until September but please walk the trail (now from the community center down to Arbor Street) and feel free to rescue a tree from ivy scaling its trunk, or pull up other invasive plants. But wear gloves, and beware of poison ivy (which is not on the trail, but definitely off it).
