ACTION NEEDED! Cheverly Postcard and Letter Writing Campaign Re: CR-84-2017
Testimony in OPPOSITION to the amendment to the adopted Greater Cheverly Sector Plan.
On the evening of November 6th, over 270 Cheverly neighbors and friends stood up and over 60 voices spoke out in opposition to this proposed amendment. We now need to follow up this amazing effort with a written campaign that surpasses these numbers!
Your community needs YOU to write a letter or postcard expressing your opposition to CR-84-2017 as harmful to successful transit-oriented development and critically damaging to well-loved community green space, an historic landmark, and an environmentally-critical natural area. The Town and community organizations have prepared pre-addressed postcard and letter writing packages to support your written testimony. Attached is the Town's letter please feel free to copy liberally.
ALL TESTIMONY MUST BE RECEIVED IN UPPER MARLBORO BY 5PM TUESDAY, NOV. 21st!
Your postcard or letter MUST include YOUR NAME, YOUR ADDRESS and YOUR SIGNATURE! This link offers helpful talking points and info. https://goo.gl/H5GQ2y .
You may pick up a postcard and letter writing package at Town Hall M-F from 9am-5pm.
You may also drop off your completed postcard or letter during those times for hand delivery to Upper Marlboro.
