Town of Cheverly
Supporting the
Application for Transportation/Land-Use Connections Technical Assistance Grant
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Cheverly, joined by members of the Cheverly Planning Board and other committed Cheverly residents are in support of the application for a Transportation/Land-Use Grant; and
WHEREAS, the grant will assist in preparing a conceptual pedestrian and trails plan; and
WHEREAS, the goal of this plan is to promote a livable and walkable community and to provide proposals for consideration that will ultimately provide trails throughout the town, connecting the Town of Cheverly to a wide network of regional trails; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council support the continued efforts by the Cheverly Planning Board to provide proposals for consideration that will provide trails throughout the Town and connecting throughout the region.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, this 10th day of January, 2008, by the Mayor and Town Council that the Town of Cheverly supports the Transportation/Land-Use Technical Assistance Grant and looks forward to reviewing the results.
